Melpool OXY is a strong oxidant that is very effective for the shock treatment of swimming pools, hot tubs and spas. The product dissolves quickly and is therefore very effective in removing algae, bacteria and organic matter.
How does Melpool OXY work?
Melpool OXY is a chlorine-free oxidant that uses the powerful action of potassium peroxymonosulfate (K2S2O8). This agent reacts with organic material and bacteria, killing or rendering them harmless.
Why is shock treatment necessary?
A shock treatment is necessary to make the swimming pool, hot tub or spa hygienically clean again. This is especially important if the water is cloudy, there is algae growth or if the water has a strong chlorine smell.
Dosage
The average dosage of Melpool OXY is 200 grams per 10 m³ of water. This is equal to approximately 2 tablespoons per m³ of water.
Instructions
- Mix the required amount of Melpool OXY with a little water in a bucket.
- Pour the solution into the pool, hot tub or spa.
- Let the solution work for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours you can use the pool, hot tub or spa again.
